The Grid- Connected Photovoltaic Systems Design & Install course consists of two main components:
  1. Online theory completed at students’ own pace with tutor support.
  2. A Online + Classroom  (2 days) practical component held at the training facility of Energy Training Group.
The delivery mode of this course is designed for busy tradespeople who do not have the time to attend lengthy Online + Classroom courses to expand their knowledge and skills: the fully flexible web-based format of the online component allows students to complete the theory in their own time. To enrol in this course, you must be a licensed electrician or electrical apprentice. Energy Training Group is a Nationally Recognised Training Organisation, and students who successfully complete this course will be issued a Statement of Attainment for the units of competency UEERE0054, UEERE0061, UEERE0080, and UEERE0081.

Training Outcome

At the successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a qualification and statement of results for:

UEE20120 – Certificate II in Split Air-conditioning and Heat Pump Systems

This qualification is nationally recognised and will lead to a licenced outcome with the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC).

 Fabricate, assemble and dismantle utilities industry components.

Fix and secure electrotechnology.

Prepare and connect refrigerant tubing and fitting.

Recover, pressure test, evacuate, charge and leak test refrigerants – split systems.

Install and start up single head split air conditioning and water heating pump systems.

Apply environmentally sustainable procedures in the energy sector.

Maintain documentation.

To take this course, you must be at least one of the following:

– A licensed electrician holding a current electrical work licence.
– A qualified plumber or gas fitter interested in recognition of prior learning (RPL).
– A 3rd or 4th electrical apprentice who has successfully completed the units of competency outlined in the first years of an electrotechnology apprenticeship and has at least two years of industry experience.
– For non-electrical workers – recognition of prior learning (RPL) is offered if you have a trade qualification in plumbing/gas fitting.

This course involves simulated workplace practical training additional to the online theory components.

2-6 days of practical hands on training with an online theory assessment which can be taken at any time.

On completion of the split system air conditioning course at one of our delivery locations, you may undertake further studies to gain additional qualifications.
